I want to thank the Pride of Oklahoma and the Air Force Drum & Bugle Corps for the show at halftime today. I had the privilege of getting to have one of my former students with me at the game today. He is a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Iraq. This was his first ever OU football game. When they had all current/former service members stand during the playing of their branch's song, I got chills. Seeing this young man who was once a student of mine standing at attention during the playing of the Marine Hymn brought a tear to my eyes!

Thanks for providing us with a very special moment, Pride!

It was the best halftime show I have seen in Norman since I have been going to games....since 2003.

Ive been going since 1999, i think the Thiller halftime was pretty awesome, but this was up there.

Well, we had fireworks, servicemen (and women), joining of AF and OU bands playing patriotic songs, and a flyover. Pretty eventful halftime. The Thriller one was great as well. Didn't like how they did it the next 3 games as well though.

what kinda planes (the fighters) did the flyover ???

probly dead wrong, but from the bottom, looked to me like F4s.
also, loud like F4s.

don't even know if AF still flys F4s.

i was dead wrong; USAF hasn't flown them for many years.

used to live north of Dallas Naval Air Station (it moved to Ft.Worth) & when
F4s passed over @ low altitude,they were extremely loud.

Indeed, the best halftime show since the The Thriller halftime. My dad served in the Air Force and my uncle, the Army. It was great how they honored everyone!

Need a BUFF (B-52) to flyover. Flyovers are always cool, but Cargo planes meh...
