i told ya ...we all are gonna have this discussion. todays game is close game where we had to protect our lead. I guess we did ok. But we have to prove that we can win the other type of close games too (ones where we are down by 10 and win the game in the final minute).

Bob knew he he has to learn to win the close because last year that is all anyone wanted to talk about is Bob's 0-4 record in close games in '09.Well Bob is 2-0 this year AND people still ain't happy.As for me I prefer to win EVERY game by 21,screw the close ones. :)

I don't like seasons where we steamroll our way into the national championship game.

It hasn't worked out too well for us over the past ten years.

In 2003 we whooped Texas, the pokes, A&M, Baylor, Tech . . . and then you know what happened in Kansas City and NOLA.

In 2004, similar story . . . we beat everyone in the year soundly and then the game which did not happen happened.

In 2008 again, we dominated every team except Texas . . . and then couldn't pull it out in the end against the second coming and his crew.

I want to see us play tough games and have to grind it out. It is hard as a fan to watch those games, especially when it seems the boys aren't playing as well as they should. But in the end, I think these games are more beneficial than a 65-21 stomping of Tech. Even if it is a whole hell of a lot of fun at the time.
