He moved to Texas in eighth grade,I'm guessing four years in Texas and two years in Oklahoma have all but negated his British accent.I have gone to school or worked with about a half dozen Brits transplanted to the U.S.,all of whom have only a trace of accent.Funny thing I noticed though that if they go back to the UK for a visit, they come back with a re-enforced accent which fades again.

I work with a couple Brits, and they ****ing hate that most Okies go "so what part of Australia y'all come from?" One of them (who comes by our tailgate every week) always says "Dallas."

If you are around them very long, it is very easy to discern British from Australian. Hell, it's even easy to pick out some of the local accents within the British Isles. Scottish, Irish, and all the versions of English (cockney, etc.) become quite clear after you're around them.

We don't need no football control. Teacher leave football alone. Hey, teacher! Leave football alone!

British Boz Wortworth is my gonna be my next avvie attempt when I get sick my cute Kenney one (and you can't say it's been cursed this season). I have the same accent issue as him, where I don't sound too northern unless I'm around other Wisconsinites (or am tired)

Wifey says I do the same thing after getting off the phone with one of my Okie relatives . . .

Perhaps it should be "Duck OR Death" as in if you don't duck, you're dead.

Cake or death! :P

His hits are giving the opponents a French accent though I have heard.

No, they all sound identical. At least that's what I tell the Brits. I then ask them if they got their funny sounding talk from the Aussies. Then I ask them to say something real English like "throw the shrimp on the barbie."

They hate me more than you guys. And that takes some doing.
