Great thurs night game to see our next opponent. Has anyone watched them yet? How do they look? Collaros looked good last year when Pike was out. He also has the ability to scramble when he needs to. I damn sure hate scrambling QB's.

All I know is they lost in week one. Too lazy to look up who they lost to right now since we still have Air Force (big enough game with the Jekyll and Hyde act we've pulled the first two weekends). Collaros is a lot like Colt McCoy from what I saw last year.

The QB can scramble but they got a weak OL this year. They look downey soft in the second half of games but will pose a threat because they are our first road threat.

It could be an interesting game...although the ACC seems to such hind-tit this year.

This will give them some extra time to prepare for the Sooners, which won't do them much good.

I saw them play Fresno State. The first quarter they had two drives (one due to a Fresno turnover) and looked mighty good. After that...not so much. Big problems on the offensive line and some early injuries have been issues.

I suspect this will be a road game along the lines of Washington in 2008...not as formidable an opponent as the reputation might suggest. I think AFA this weekend will be a bigger challenge.

You will know tonight, If they beat up on NC State watch out. I do think rebuilding the O-line and loosing Kelly has knocked them down a peg or two.

as fragile as our psychology has been on the road against good or decent teams....who knows? how the F did we lose to Miami last year....they were mediocre at best.

Landry needs protection, etc.

Butch Jones is saying that right now Collaros' problem is that he's trying to do too much. As long as the kid hasn't learned to let the game come to him before our game, there's a chance we can rattle his cage early on.

Landry Jones has to prove he can win on the road. We haven't really seen that yet.

As a starter, there's Kansas and Stanford...and there's also Nebraska, Miami and Tech. Well, we'll see, I reckon.

Also interesting, kinda sorta: Fresno State plays at Utah State this weekend, and BYU (who beat Washington and lost to Air Force) plays Florida State.

My cousin starts for NC State hopefully he doesn't get burned  but it will be interesting to see if Cincy can get a win against an actual team. I still want NC State to win, obviously.

Yea its crazy. I think FSU will beat BYU again like last year. I hope Utah State builds on their resume and wins.

Not saying much but NC State easily has the best receiving core in the ACC.

The ball look to just hang out there when the nc state qb throws it. it's a terrible looking throwing motion but can't argue the results.

almost a terrific grab by the nc state receiver. do they ever run the ball?

I hope we show up to play mentally with Cinci... because as long as we don't have that damn deer in the headlights look (Tech, Nebraska, Miami 2009) on the road, we should run away with this game against Cincinnati. They've looked like a mere shadow of themselves from recent years the two games I've watched them play.

Like I said they are missing their best offense player, Brian Kelly.

Looks like we should be able to run and pass at will against these guys, the perimeter passes to Broyles will be easy and the middle looks wide open as well.

Again, we are on the road though

I'm convinced that Wilson has some kind of force field around him. Either that or Cinci D has absolutely no idea how to tackle.

This has been an incredibly ugly game...

Cincy has no o-line, no linebackers, and no d-backs.

Saying that, we play them on the road. Based on past experience, we will be lucky to win by 3.

Actually, if hitting on at least 6 cylinders, we should win by 14.

Didn't watch the game; does anyone think they were looking ahead to us or that they're just a really crappy team?

Mississippi Sooner

I vote really crappy team. They looked lost, most of the time. More to the point, they looked like a team going through a severe rebuilding process.

Though its a nice program, the can't take the losses they did(coach, o cord, qb, best wr, etc) and just fall off a little..thats why I didn't understand the preseason talk of possibly losing that game

Same way I feel. The only thing that can slow the team down is the atmosphere or looking ahead.

BAD offensive line. Putrid. We may have caught a break unless they go all "shock the world" on us.

And frankly, even when Collaros had time I don't know he or his receivers looked all that good. They did lose one of their best two WR's game 1. And I don't know why they didn't try to go to Binns more. Probably just not enough time in the pocket. And for RB's, I can't recall any running plays of significance last night. So they just may not have much for weapons.

If we take a business-like approach to these guys we should win going away. Of course any team is dangerous if you don't take them seriously... I think that has been pretty well established this year.

I think Fresno State recorded seven or eight sacks in the season opener. Cincy has fallen off a cliff. They'll be back, but they're a bit like we were last year, only they replaced the coaching staff too.
