I stole this from OUDavid :D

The guy has had 30 football players arrested in 6 years. Everyone has problem guys on every team but this seems kinda extreme. Thoughts?

I dont like to dog other programs about this kinda stuff cus I know OU has guys who get in trouble as well but like I said, this seems like a ton more than usual, maybe not?

How many have we had in that time frame? I would guess about 15. But not for anything really cool, like running into apartments.

This all falls in line with the "Arrest Theory" I heard about before. The more arrests the better the football team. It's saddeningly true.

I can't believe that there are 2 coaches in the same conference that have 30. Is that part of the SEC championship too?

They burn up all the South Florida Speed on the football field. Got nothin' left for runnin' from the po-lice.

http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/27152/three-point-stance-30-arrests-in-gainesville

1. Here’s why Urban Meyer should answer for the 30 arrests – thank you, Chris Rainey (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=235222) – during his six years at Florida. It’s not as if he’s recruiting thugs that no one else wants. He is fighting to get many of the same kids that Alabama and Texas and Ohio State, et al, are signing. Those schools aren’t having near the number of arrests as the Gators. The only other variable is the police. Are Gainesville cops really that different? I don’t think so, either.

2. Amid the discussion of how well tailback Trent Richardson (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=480206) has done at Alabama during the absence of Heisman winner Mark Ingram (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=379061), there’s another Wally Pippish situation afoot. At Oregon, where tailback LaMichael James (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=379314) was suspended for the opener, sophomore Kenjon Barner (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=379309) gained 225 all-purpose yards against New Mexico. When James returned and rushed for 134 yards against Tennessee, Barner had 228 all-purpose yards. They coexist happily; Richardson and Ingram will, too.

3. Tim Brewster is in his fourth year at Minnesota, and the program is, at best, in the exact same position as when athletic director Joel Maturi tossed Glen Mason under the bus in 2006. I get Mason had a health issue -- the Gopher fans were sick of him -- but he’s a good coach. Brewster, with the benefit of a new stadium and a lot of enthusiasm, has yet to outdo his predecessor. After the loss to South Dakota last week, with USC on the horizon, Brewster is making Mason look better by comparison.

Interestingly, while some SEC schools have been hit with dozens of arrests, Miami’s Randy Shannon has had just one player arrested in four seasons with the Hurricanes. As Hyde points out, “that might be the most remarkable stat in college football today.” It also might be that Shannon has found a way to convince his guys to behave themselves away from the football field.

As a sooner fan, I just dont think I have the right to call out other schools for player legal problems

Amazingly, the gators have yet to win the Fulmer Cup, but then again, it was created by a Gator fan. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fulmer_Cup)

Look at the Big Ten representin'!!!

The rules of the Fulmer Cup state points are only awarded for offseason arrests. So, the Rainey thing doesn't count in the standings.
