NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma running back Brennan Clay has been released from the hospital after being injured in the Sooners' win against Florida State.

Coach Bob Stoops says "everything has checked out well" for Clay, who was back at home on campus Sunday. However, he says it's still unclear how long the freshman will be sidelined.

Clay was carted off the field in the fourth quarter of Oklahoma's 47-17 win against Florida State on Saturday. He had just made a 6-yard reception to pick up a first down when he was leveled by Seminoles safety Nick Moody.

Hopefully it was just a minor concussion. Glad nothing serious came of it. FSU was taking some cheap shots where they could, but that was a clean hit... just one of those "football happens" moments.

This unofficial and may be way off, but a guy told me today that he heard that it was a concussion, and they may be looking at doing a medical redshirt on him. The guy is from New Mexico, so I put a lot more credibility in the things he says based on Landry's performance Sat.
