I was on that bandwagon last week. The young man simply played his arse off today! Props to him.

I'm glad I didn't comment on the freshmen d-backs, but must admit they scared me last week...and then they go AND TOTALLY REDEEM THEMSELVES!

Is it Texas week yet....?

Colvin looked pretty good in mop up duty as well. Jefferson is going to be a stud in time.

The corners were given extremely tough assignments against USU.

Hell i think Utah State had better skill athletes than Free Shoes University

I started that thread and should be punched in the sack for it.

I was wrong... plain and simple. He has talent and showed up big today. Sorry guys!!

Play the ball and good things happen.
The ABC broadcast had a cool shot after T. Lewis' interception that showed every member of the secondary tracking Ponder's eyes. Flemming outplayed Hurste IMO, but that may have been because they were picking on him.
Nelson was all over the place.
We take Carter for granted because he's so consistent.
Jefferson's potential unreal.

Carter IS so consistent that you hardly notice him at times, solid ball player

I was flabbergasted that our corners could look so bad last week, and this week look like world-beaters. Fleming in particular had a great game.

A lot of the poor play from last week is directly attributed to the USU QB doing an incredible job of extending the play with his feet.

and like it has been mentioned before, our Corners were rarely out of position last week, many times they just didnt make the play, plus our Dline didnt help much at times

Maybe Utah State has pretty good skill players

This is very very true. The whole defensive backfield played outstanding and with the pressure on Ponder it was a bad bad combo for the Noles.

He made all the improvements he needed to. The kid is gonna be a monster for the next couple of years if he keeps up this level and continues to learn from experience and coaching. His natural ability is astounding.

1000%. Great thread. Jamell deserves some love. So does Jonathan Nelson, great game all around by the secondary.

They did. They have more playmakers on offense for sure.

Fleming played horrible last week, it was justified to be critical of his play.

SPEK....

Folks who are able to realize they may have overreacted are truly getting back in the true spirit of what is ahead for our Team this year. We are not gonna be 8-5 again and playing in the Sun Bowl.

Good stuff Sweetie!
