Is it just old age, or medical problems? He's not the same. Did something happen to him that I did not hear about on ESPN? He used to be witty and mentally sharp.

He had a stroke a couple of years ago....

He suffered a stroke before last season. imo, he's sounding better than he did last yr.

He does seem improved from last year. I respect the guy for pushing through it. BBJ doesn't have that excuse so far as I know.

It was the stroke he had that made him talk and lose focus like he does. Unfortunately it doesn't explain his being a dumbazz all the previous years of his life.

He has made remarkable improvement from the way he sounded last year. He still does better when his remarks are scripted in advance than reacting when on camera.

It struck me yesterday that his enunciation sounded much better, but yeah, the banter parts still get him flustered, Herbie covers for him a lot when that happens.
