Check at about 0:45 on the old guy behind the desk reading a letter from Lucasfilm on why Ackbar can't be mascot. Stupid Lucas. Maybe the ad will change their mind?

I'm sure Colonel Rebel was fun for some Ole Miss fans in the same way that some Pokes can somehow find an old weird looking guy mascot on the sideline acceptable, but Ackbar! It would be different and it would be awesome. So what if he's a fishie squid looking character? He's got the best line in Star Wars history!

From what I've seen down here, and there are really a lot more Miss. State and Bama fans in this part of the state, is that the Ole Miss folks had a far bigger problem letting go of the Confederate flags than they do with Colonel Reb.

Of course, more than anything, people in Mississippi get their backs up when they think someone is telling them to do something. The referendum on the state flag was proof of that.
