“The Stache” had a subpar game. I think there were some bright spots to his play Saturday that should be acknowledged. When he was throwing to this guy…

...good.

For the most part, he didn’t throw dumb passes. He held the ball too long in several instances and was timid about stepping up into the pocket in others. I feel these are correctable problems with a little bit of...

Is it just me or is anyone really impressed with Ryan Broyles on and off the field. Great player but when he does interviews he sounds intelligent. I think he has grown up alot from the mistake he made when he first got on campus.

I am certainly glad he plays for our Sooners

Saturday at the game I was talking about Broyles with my daughter. I was shuddering at the thought that he nearly went to OSU. What would last year have looked like without him?

Landry Jones is an above average quarterback. That's about it.

So was Trent Dilfer, and he won a Super Bowl. I hope we get enough out of Landry to manage the games efficiently with a few spectacular plays speckled throughout. I think the guy has it in him to be much more effective than he has shown. I am hoping that comes out soon.

He had good games last year against two weak defenses - OSU and Stanford.

He's average.

He's a Soph QB with an unproven line. Last year the O line was weak. This year, we should have improvement (I couldn't see the game but understand that he took some unnecessary sacks. I had internet feed.) Sam had a far more seasoned line than Landry. If the line gels this week, we will se a vastly improved LJ.

For the billionth time, Troy Aikman was a pretty sorry QB when he had a crappy line.

Serious question. Not trying to bash. What does he do well? I can see the bad stuff he does because those are obvious and I think it takes a better trained eye to see the good things. So what are they? I ask because I see a lot of faith in him and I'm wondering what the faithful see.

Go ahead and neg me, Vet. I know you're going to.

he has a live arm no doubt... but that doesn't really matter if you don't have it upstairs

Did you see the passes he's thrown on the run? I think he's better out of the pocket than in it. He seems to make the difficult throw much better than the easy ones. So there, it's something.

You may be fat, bald and stupid, but you're on to something. Landry Jones' delivery from the pocket is suspect. He's late on nearly every pass from the pocket. I don't know if it's a confidence issue or if his brain takes an extra half a second to process what he wants to do, but he seems to struggle hitting receivers in stride from the pocket.

he did something right at least 26 times last year

One week you are "Above Average"...

One week you are "OMGWAFL!"....

One week you are still in the hunt for the Heisman.

Then you get to play in Dallas and after that week....folks start to chill the hell out....once you are planting that OU Flag in the turf at the Fifty Yard Line and raising the Golden Hat.

Fair enough. See, I knew I could count on you guys.

And now that you mention it, he did hit that one pass on the rollout that looked buttery smooth.

Better to be fat, bald and stupid than to be a pencil-necked cum guzzler. Just sayin'.
