I only caught the first three SC touchdowns. I thought it was funny that Lane Kiffin tried two-point conversions in all of them - first one a botched trick play with Mitch Mustain (fail!). There are going to be some Pac 10 teams this year that are totally getting their revenge on SC's "win forever" years. If they got their revenge last year, I'm sure they'll be happy to get it again this year.

Not that USC was the dominating force that Trojan fans are accustomed to lately, but victory wasn't in doubt when I was watching early, and probably not in doubt the rest of the game, either, considering that they actually let Mitch Mustain play in more than some gimmick two-point trick play (fail!)

I think they had their second stringers out late.

If that TD would have been called at the goalline, it would have made it within at TD at halftime. It was way closer than Kiffin wanted it to be. They didn't open it up until a good ways into the 3rd. Even then Hawaii kept violating that SC defense. Besides, Hawaii's defense is never good, they should have scored a bunch on them. But that SC defense has serious problem. They play like that in the PAC 10 and they will lose at least 4 games.

Early in the game, when they were down by 6 I think (because USC attempted a failed Mitch Mustain trick play for a 2-point conversion, hehe), Hawaii put together an awesome drive. Bruising running attack, weird passing plays from pistol formation (commentary kept noting that all of monte's preparation was going down the drain because of those weird formations, heh) and they are 1st and goal... and they stop running?!?! wtf, hawaii. they had to settle for 3, but they had a big chance to take an early lead in the game because of Lane's stupid trick Mustain play call for the 2-point fail.

Instead, they settle for 3, and therefore, they settle for a loss :(
