The biggest travesty??? He ranked BPS/Lewis Field ABOVE Owen Field. Hey Chuck, have you BEEN to games at both? I have, and I'm not crazy about the half-empty stadium that once looked like an oversized Erector Set.

He ranked Boone Pickens above OU too. Interesting.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see the BPS in your post.

The attendance record for Boone Pickens Stadium is 58,516 for the game against the University of Texas on Oct 31, 2009.

OSU has no fans. :D

After the 3rd venue, it wants you to register. F the Dallas Morning Fiction.

I didn't bother registering and seeing what was beyond T. Boone at number three, but by that time I was wanting to scream "what about Amon Carter? Won't someone remember the classics?"

What a stupid list.

Sorry that your stadium isn't in the top-3 in the region. :(

And BPS is usually only a quarter empty, ****tard. Thought you people could count?

Most UT fans have never been to Norman....

I do have some friends here who want to go to a game there sometime just to see it. We might try to go to a Tech-UT game at DKR, in the 20 + years that she has lived here in Austin she has never been to the Tech-UT game, so using her Tech grad status as an excuse to go. I would like to see a game in most of the good, traditional stadiums sometime.

UT has a 100K stadium with the godzillatron (biggest TV in the world outside of Tokyo). Don't know how anyone could argue with #1. 59 game home sellout streak working too. 84K season tickets.

I can argue with it: Texas plays there. ;)

How much of that godzillatron is full of advertisements? Definitely not the biggest when the only time it goes full screen is for a ripoff of the Bulls Intro.

1) biggest stadium does not = best
2) I guess I could see how a Texas writer might put Former OU Player Memorial Stadium ahead of ours, but putting the former Rustoleum Stadium ahead of Owen Field...give me a break.

Twas just a very, very lame joke. No, I don't think Amon Carter has been considered "nice" since Truman was president.

It is wonderful that you're humoring us Sooners and I'm glad you're a good sport about it, but I just need to call attention to your little joke-stat for a sec, because it seems that even your team on the rise cannot rise its ticket sales.

In 2009, OSU set school records for average attendance (53,719), season-ticket sales (45,694) and student season-ticket sales (11,382).

The current sales total is 39,227, leaving OSU a few shy of surpassing the 2008 total 39,976 (which at the time was the school record).

Your capacity is about 60k if I'm not mistaken, so for your annual season ticket screwjob game, which happens to be the Fairweather Fan Cheatin' Gooner game, you are looking at a third-empty, not quarter-empty, stadium.

Whoooooooooa! We are Cowboys 4ever! :stunned:

What to watch for: The Sooner Schooner, a covered wagon pulled across the field by white ponies "Boomer" and "Sooner," the school's costumed mascots.

Sooooo the horsepigs are now pulling the Schooner?

Did Joe C. start a new thing without telling anyone except this article writer? Are we about to see another schooner make an appearance, and if so, can I be the first one to sit behind the wheel and whip them repeatedly? ;)

This just in from the National Weather Service for the benefit of Stillwater residents: If you hear tornado sirens going off, move immediately to Boone Pickens Stadium and take cover; there is rarely a touchdown there.

If you went through and took out all the orange, all the flaming logos, add some accomplishments, some good coaches, about 500 more wins, maybe even up your rivalry stats a bit... I could see OSU's stadium being top 50.

Dont come on to SoonerFans and bring us some crap about how Texas has sold out 59 consecutive games because I'll slap the taste out of your mouth and tell you that OU has 68 consecutive. But even better we have these punk*** OsU fans that come in here and try to compare OU and OsU's stadiums, You say you have a 60K seating compacity? Thats awesome we had that in 1957, you people sound like you have one the past 10 National Championships with the way you sound.

Under our current coach, we're 66-2 at home since 1999. 30 straight wins.

I hate to rip on a 'sconsin female, but you are mistaken.

OU gets 5,000 in the allotment for the "screwjob" game.

So 45k. Out of 60k. 1/4. Aggie math is a bitch, ain't it?
