If you'll repeat after me:

Dear Lord, please watch over Patrick as he enters his second season with us. Please keep him safe and sane through all the dangers I am sure he will face. Please make his kicks fly straight and true, and help his snapper and holder do their jobs correctly.

Amen.

Now say this prayer 20 times a day and maybe we'll be okay. :D

I guess he was the most consistant and does have a longer leg than Stevens, but I don't understand why they don't consider using two kickers. Use Stevens for kicks inside 35 yards and O'Hara for everything longer than that. Stevens was amazing from short range last season but maybe hasn't been doing that well this offseason.

Probably has to do with the "fragile kicker psyche" deal.

Stevens kicks line drives - low and they bounce off the uprights.. I think he get's too many blocked - and they are not allowed to try and block them in camp.

Wonder why not? It seems like that would make the kickers get their kicks up for games.

generally no, but they do have a specific time they put a rush on all 5 guys during 2-a-days.

I remember in the 2008 big 12 * title game when jimmy kicked on and when it went over the cross bar it was still going up.

I wonder if any walkons made it on the roster from the tryouts.

Stevens kicks line drives -

that's because if you lower the arrow, the kick will go farther....wait, we're talking about a real game here? oh, never mind then.

Nobody from the tryouts held last week will be on the team this year. It was for next year.

Depends what state... If he ran it on Florida's campus, it would be a 3.9. Still much slower than the Gator players...
