Good Morning All,

Long time, no post here for the Boomhauer....been busy and a new job. Anyway....I just got Direct TV and they dont have the game up to buy as of today. When I called on Sunday they couldnt even find it on their schedule. Does any Direct TV subscribers know when they put the game up to buy? Thanks!!!

Always before, they haven't had the PPV available until around 11:30 on game day. And of course, all of their friendly customer service agents are completely clueless.

This has been posted several times... I will post it again for ya. I appears direct TV will be broadcasting it nationwide. Cox will broadcast in OKC.

Be very careful and hold until just before game time if you have to call them. The last time I did, the moron gave me the game (in progress) that was on before....and then refused to credit me.
If you can't buy on-line, wait until the broadcast is showing up as 'in progress' (it'll start 30 minutes or so pre-game), or you risk paying twice.

Thanks guys! I called two different times and talked to different reps each time. I did have to mention "Oklahoma Sooners" three times during the 5 minute coversation after she asked which Ohio State game I was looking for. Geesh!

That was probably my fault: I assumed the rep had a nodding acquaintance with football.

You guys! Didn't you alll watch the Discovery Channel? These jobs have all been outsourced to India. But that doens't mean that they are stuipid, they just haven't been told who the best NCAA BIG 12 Team is in the Universe. Next time, pull the phone away from your ear and yell as loud as you can BOOMER SOONER! so they will be ed-u-my ka-tid!

At least DTV is giving us the game in HD for $39.95 this year. Nothing worse than paying out the nose for an SD broadcast.

On the info, it was saying the game was $29.95. Now there is no price on info. I'm assuming DirecTV customers still have to wait till 11am or so until we can order by remote?

Mine shows it on channel 784 and i ordered it off their website this morning. For some reason they only allow you to order it the day of the game

Cox in Tulsa 601 (standard) and 611 (HD). Broadcast is from 5 p.m. to midnite.

I see the game online now for $39.95, but that's a little misleading since they've had the game as $29.95 on the guide info all week.

I think it's $39.95 for everyone. The last OU PPV I ordered was $29, but yeah, they know we'll pay to watch OU whether its $29 or $299 :D

 why did i smile at that thought

I think I'll order $40 worth of beer and hot wings at a local restaurant to watch the game. I'll watch it at home on Tuesday when they show the re-broadcast on Fox.

DirectTV screwed me over. I ordered the game. Come time for the game, I switch over and no game. I go on line to find out what's wrong. Says my credit card is no longer valid. (it's good through the end of the month) So I call. I'm on hold for 30 mins. After finally getting someone. after trying to explain to her what is going on, about 15 mins. She tells me I ordered the HD version of the game. (which I did not) I don't have an HD reciever. So now I've missed an hour of the game.

I gets even better. Now that I've been on the phone for an hour. The game is no longer available to order. So I'm going to miss the fricking game. But they did refund my purchase.
