He had it on about two weeks ago, so that's a good thing (it comes off sooner).

Broken hands happen with linemen all the time. GK wore a cast for a few weeks his RS Fr. season, too. When you hit a mountain of a man and your job is to either keep him in front of you or throw him aside, the paws take some abuse.

That said, I had a broken hand a few years ago, and it sucked badly. Not only the pain of the injury, the pain of the hardware in it to help it heal correctly and the fact that all of my knuckles and wrist were stuck when the cast came off. The week of popping and working your adhesion out of your "healed" hand feels like you're voluntarily breaking it again, in numerous places, just for shock value.
