Im thinking the Idaho State game, and wonder how we would react if that happens against Utah State.

That was the moment of clarity for me last year when OU couldn't score from the goal line against Idaho State..

So I will say it depends on who OU is playing

Yes, we get concerned. Oklahoma football starts upfront and if we get nasty upfront, and can run the ball, then we typically win championships.

It won't happen.

Don't worry: Lee Corso says we have a great line.

We should run more of the "dropped snaps from center" plays. The delay picking the ball up is just enough to let the line make a hole.

It worked for Sam against OSU.

Even scarier, the play doesn't get relayed in time, and it becomes first and 8 ...

I think Musil/Millard will see some rhino package action on short yardage and goal-line plays. It is the very fact thatwe have been TB oriented and not good in these scenarios that makes me feel we will use our FBs.As I said in another thread though I have been saying this for years.I figure I have to be right eventually.

We'll Cale Gundy said that if he two Millards then one would be tailback and the other fullback. Since we need a blocker he is gonna play fullback. I am anxious to see Millard.

Short stuff: Chris Brown has been OU's go-to ball carrier on third-and-short the past three years. Now that Brown has moved on, running backs coach Cale Gundy indicated that job will fall to DeMarco Murray.

There was speculation that 246-pound freshman Trey Millard could be called upon. He rumbled for 1,413 yards last year at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Mo.

Gundy, however wants Millard leading the tailback into the hole out of OU's short-yardage I-formation.

"If we had two Trey Millards, maybe we'd stick one back there to carry the ball. But we don't," Gundy said. "You've got to have a fullback go hit somebody first."
