Was notified a few months ago...that I am being involuntarily mobilized to go to Iraq in January for a year.. A fully paid vacation in the sun and fun!

I will be going active in October for pre-deployment training.. Have to be in country by the 24th of January..

Y'all know yer jealous..

You got nothing to worry about. Obama says the combat role in Iraq is over. Have fun, enjoy that tax-free income, and extra pay.

hah... Thank y'all. I'll certainly be safe. I'll be at Camp Victory at the HQ location and serving at a brigade level G6.. I'll even have the Internets in my room from what I hear.. So I'll be certain to be on here posting..

My jorb is actually gonna be to shut off the lights on the medical units as the CIO (G6) for the theater.. I'm kinda looking forward to it as it's gonna be something meaningful. I really do appreciate y'alls support, and I'm def gonna be looking here to keep in touch with the real world.

BTW, i'm engaged too. I don't post enough on here I guess. I am usually hanging out at the posse shack..
