Sam looked great. Love the checkdowns, esp. to the TE in the red zone. Great reads, and saw a nice check at the line of scrimmage that turned into a 20 yard gain on a play action fake.

What sucks for Sam is losing Donnie Avery for the season to a serious knee injury. Hopefully Gilyard steps up.

That rookie tight end looked legit. Amendola is decent slot. Gilyard can go short or intermediate. What they need is a legit deep threat. The o-line looked better this week. Jackson is a beast. They can be pretty decent on offense. On defense, they need some secondary help from the looks of it.

I know it is only preseason, but our o-line seems to be protecting Ahwon Wodgers better, not to mention our D is as strong as ever, even without Kampman.

I was very pleased as how Sammie seemed to anticipate hits coming, and got rid of the ball quickly. Even better, they gave Sam time and had a running game.
