Not the night before a road game.

David, are you in college? You need to spend more time partying and less time on the message board.

When I was at OU a few years ago the players stayed in OKC the night before a home game.

They've been staying at my place since Bob Stoops' first year. It was one of my better coups if I say so myself. We're gearing up now for this year's season. Oh yeah, my place ain't in OKC.

I thought they stayed in the Sooner Suites the night before the game. The one owned by the University not the Sooner Inn & Suites

We need one of those Holiday Inn commercials with former Horn Ron Weaver.

Used to stay at Sooner Inn, which pretty much looks like glorified dorms... like, red carpet instead of vomit carpet. Stoops must have decided that it was too much like the dorms.

It's to make the team used to being on the road for games, I guess. Can't say it's really hurt the team... well, since TCU 2005 I guess :(

They always stay in the Postal Training Center hotel east of Norman. That's where they have stayed unless changed in recent years.

And david....my 2 of 6 years of college were spent at OU. Do as told. Get lost and have fun. Only post on fridays-sundays during the season. Go out, get drunk, make moves on ladies, bone them....everything SicEm has yet to do.

I am 27 and about to start my Masters at SNU; night school. Maybe I will get lucky there but I need to be careful around the Nazarene district.

They only stayed at the Sooner Inn when Schnelly was the coach so they could do that stupid march thingy to the stadium. For a long time they stayed at the Doubletree in OKC. I'm pretty sure this is where they were staying when I wooed them to our joint. Stoops and the coaches love it, and so do the players. The recruits who come in to visit stay here too. Sherry and Capel and Spates use us for their banquets and award ceremonies. We host visiting teams in many sports as well. We had a house full of female soccer players a while back.

Oh yeah, Sunny did their end-of-year banquet here too this year. Pretty much all the OU sports hold their events here.

I always thought they stayed a that hotel behind Charlestons.... Who knows. Doesn't really matter to me as long as they get a good night sleep.

I resent this accusation. I got drunk plenty of times.

Dean didn't you stand on the sidelines cheering as the team marched to the stadium. Coulda sworn ya did.

Embassy Suites north of robinson at least one game last year, mandatory curfews, we saw grad assistants monitoring hallways to make sure no one left. might of been an experiment

When Switzer was coach they stayed out at a hotel on Lincoln Blvd where Jimmy Johnson had his 3 Rings restaurant. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the hotel. I think it was the Clarion when JJ had his place there but it was something else in the 70's and 80's.

If they ever stayed at the Skirvin it was when Bud was coach.

Friday night location in the 70s was the Lincoln Plaza...not sure what it later became. Friday pm routine was short (~40 minute practice 'walk-thrus'), a bus pickup at Washington House to a movie someplace (usually in north OKC), and then to the hotel.

It was when Bud was the coach they quit staying there because they didn’t let Prentice Gautt stay there the night before a game. I thought this was about all the places the sooners have stayed before the game?

Lincoln Plaza is correct.

Thanks!
