This is silly. Even Sammie had his thumb in a little cast at the Heisman festivities, but he still played in the title game. OMG! A boot! A boot! We're doooooooooooomed!

I think anyone who can actually cross Lindsey at Jenkins these days should be nominated for the Heisman Trophy. If you can do it in a boot, awesome!

He had to get a five dollar footlong somehow, even if it meant crossing Lindsey at Jenkins.

I think you'll agree that a left thumb splint on a right-handed quarterback does NOT compare to a walking boot on a DE. Walking boots are used for many reasons, but more often than not it's ankle, Achilles or broken something-rather.

FWIW, starting DT Casey Walker has a hand cast on, too. But broken hands happen a lot in the trenches.

Remember Stoops' boot a couple of weeks ago? It was for a sore tendon. Probly the same thing here. Precautionary sports training, people...
