I didn't know him at the time but he went to school with me in Santa Fe. His work is fresh.

Is this one yours, picasso? Dammit, I really love your work. It is powerful and energetic that I somehow expect it to move. In that other thread, I was being serious about wanting you to paint a mural in the capitol building.

The Andrew Wyeth piece looks like a painting over a picture. The details and shadows cast by something not in the picture just make it look so real. Don't get me wrong, I love it. It's Mother Earth and she is not looking back at us.

I think that is one reason that I like your work is there is an apparent respect for nature, as opposed to humanism.

I appreciate that Chuck. Yeah that's my work, I painted it for a buddy and OU grad who now lives in Dallas.
Wyeth's work is incredible, some consider him our finest artist on this side of the pond. I have a book of his dry brush work:

That I treasure greatly (mostly because I got it at Goodwill on the cheap).;)

Betty Price head of the state arts commission once told me she would score me a show at the capitol but that was years ago. Someday maybe.
I'd be honored to do a mural but Charles Banks Wilson is hard to beat!
