Sorry guys.

I'll agree. As much as I can't stand Texas, that was arguably one of the best QB-WR tandums in recent history.

I will not be sorry to see either of the two gone come this October.

Here's to you for putting it out there! It's like sexuality, when you're comfortable with your Sooner fanhood, you can compliment texas without guilt....so long as it's not current players/coaches, or anytime during late September thru October ;)

I'm a lover and a sinner and I get my music in the sun.

Steve Miller Band is just about to break out all over me.

College athletes and college sports is so much more than the fans. And, it is only the delusional and misguided fans that I hate so much.

i respect colt and the great collegiate career he had and he went out in a really bad way with not getting to play his final game (although that doesnt really upset me cause it was key to them losing)

shipley i respect for playing through his injuries but he seems like a system receiver if there ever was one. short underneath routes made for him and his roomy looking to him first though he did do his work by breaking some of those.

ill respect texas players but ill never like them, that is very homo

you're outside your head. shipley is one of the best return guys i've ever seen play... i was at work the other day when the bengals were playin dallas when i heard what i thought, well hoped actually, i'd never hear again...

"Jordan Shipley back to recieve the punt... makes the first man miss... and the second. and the third! he's got a seam"!

he got 63 on that return. he'll be in the league for 7-8 seasons, if he stays healthy. he's fast and makes people miss.

you may think its weak but its valid and very real. ask any one of mike leach's qb's how their nfl careers are going (you could be sitting next to them at any nfl game b/c they have to buy tickets like the rest of us)

i gave and will continue to give props to shipley for his ability to break some loose, he is a good player, he could have a wes welker like career, right player meets right system and good things happen.

Nothing wrong with respecting the enemy and admiring how they approach the game.

In the CFB world of wins and losses they gave OU hell, lucky at times more than they made plays, but it got the job done more than not.

Those two sure beat the thug life teams * was representing for years.

I'm not saying it never happened, but I've never heard it. I'm not thinking anybody whose opinion I value said that. Regardless, just being the #1 draft pick doesn't disprove that. He'll have to play well in the pros to do that...which I think he will.

Collier11
8/21/2010, 08:50 PM
my point is that most any player needs the right 'system', team, coaches, etc... to be successful. Doesnt make them a system player
