Wheres HERE ?

I'm near Tulsa and have DISH network. This should help...

>>KQCW-DT, channel 19 (digital channel 20.1) is an affiliate of The CW, licensed to Muskogee in the Tulsa, Oklahoma DMA. The station is owned by Oklahoma City-based Griffin Communications, in a duopoly with CBS affiliate KOTV-DT (channel 6). KQCW's transmitter is located near Bald Hill, Oklahoma.

The station broadcasts its digital signal on UHF channel 20, and can also be seen on KOTV digital subchannel 6.2. On cable, KQCW can be seen on channel 12 on Cox Tulsa and on channel 14 on Time Warner Cable in Pryor. KQCW can also be seen on channel 19 on DirecTV and Dish Network.

Here's the really good part...

#1 The Development of Sam Bradford

When you are picked #1 overall and paid $50 million a lot of is expected of you. The Rams were very open that they weren't going to rush Bradford out on the field until he was "ready" and if he gave the Rams the best chance to win. I think most people were under the assumption that the Rams might wait to put Bradford out there as a starter, but after watching him in Training Camp it is becoming more and more clear by the day that Bradford will be the opening day starter for the Rams, assuming he doesn't do awful in the four preseason games. Bradford has been getting better and better everyday and is clearly the best quarterback on the roster. The only reason he is not starting the first preseason game is more of a symbolic gesture then real. He is better then A.J. Feeley right now but he has to "earn" the job. I'm not saying Bradford is going to lead the Rams to the Super Bowl this year but he clearly was the right choice to entrust with the keys to the offense. It has been a very pleasant surprise to see how quickly Bradford is catching on.

David Carr's career was basically ended because of bad offensive lines in Houston. I know he will play really early. But that offensive line will get him killed.

I'm pretty sure at least two of the projected starting lineman didn't ever get on the field, and the LT was a rookie.

Palmer didn't. I don't think Vick played. There is some precedent.

HBick
8/14/2010, 10:22 PM
That o-line was down two starters tonight. And once that rookie they took in the 2nd round gets a feel they should improve throughout the season. That said, let Feely take the hits in the first 4-6 games then slide Bradford in.

Thoughts?

Collier11

Palmer had Jon Kitna in front of him, Kitna is a pretty decent NFL QB

Vick was behind Chris Chandler who was also a decent QB

Bradford is behind AJ Feeley who is average at best

Im not saying it wouldnt be better for Sam to not play, I just dont think there is any way they wouldnt play him

My thoughts exactly.
It's like the announcers were saying, Sam made smart decisions as far as getting the ball away quickly or rolling out and throwing it away when the time called for it. He threw some nice passes. I noticed a couple times the center and Sam had a little trouble exchanging the ball, but they'll get that kinda stuff worked out. The bottom line is that Ram O Line is very bad, they're worse than I expected. I almost had to look away from the tv a couple times when I saw Sam go down hard on that right shoulder. I'm sure Sam wasn't too thrilled with those couple landings.

OU-HSV

Here's the game review on espn.com...some quotes from Sam as well. Talks about getting hit and landing on that shoulder, etc. etc.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=300814014

ST. LOUIS -- Sam Bradford took the field to a big ovation. Soon enough, reality sank in for the centerpiece of the St. Louis Rams' rebuilding effort.

The No. 1 overall pick had an early case of the jitters, short-arming a pitch and bobbling a snap the first two plays, looked poised while hitting four of his first five passes, then ended with an extended rough patch in the Minnesota Vikings' 28-7 preseason-opening victory Saturday night.
"It was fun to get out there, get hit a couple times, get hit, get knocked down, get back up," Bradford said. "Just getting back into the flow of a football game was fun."
Sage Rosenfels, chasing Tarvaris Jackson for the Vikings' quarterback job while Brett Favre waffles on his future, was a standout even though both starting wide receivers are out with injuries. Rosenfels threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns in the second quarter against the Rams' second-teamers and added a 71-yarder to Marko Mitchell in the third quarter, finishing 23 of 34 for 310 yards.
The 32-year-old Rosenfels knew before the game that he would be getting a lot of playing time.
"Mentally I was going into the game thinking like it's a full game, it's not going to be one series or two series and out," Rosenfels said. "I got more and more comfortable as the game went on. It's been a while since I've been out there, seeing real live action. A lot of guys did a lot of good things."
Jackson started but wasn't out there for long, taking six snaps on the opening series while going 2 of 4 for 11 yards.
Vikings coach Brad Childress had no news on the Favre front.
"I didn't have a vision before the game. Nothing's changed," Childress said. "You know, you can't have your cell phones with you out on the sidelines."
Bradford completed only two of his last eight passes against Vikings second-teamers, finishing 6 of 13 for 57 yards while getting sacked four times. The Vikings gave the 2008 Heisman Trophy winner's surgically repaired right shoulder a battle test with Jayme Mitchell getting 1.5 sacks on consecutive plays in the second quarter.
"I took a couple, landed on the shoulder," Bradford said. "It's not sore at all. We'll see tomorrow how it feels, but right now it feels great."
Bradford's debut probably should be graded on a curve, given Pro Bowl running back Steven Jackson did not take a snap and the Rams were the NFL's puniest offense even with Jackson while going 1-15 last season. Jackson and Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson both dressed but only watched.
The Rams were handicapped the most, getting outgained 414-150, even though Childress took out all the starters except center Jon Cooper after the first series.
"In the first quarter we did a decent job," coach Steve Spagnuolo said. "After that I think it's obvious we've got a lot of things to work on, both sides of the ball.
"We've got plenty of time, nobody's panicking."
One of the players most victimized by the Vikings was right tackle Jason Smith, the second overall pick last year who's been bothered by a broken toe much of training camp.
St. Louis is 6-42 the last three seasons, a big reason the Edward Jones Dome was officially only two-thirds full with announced attendance of 40,801.
Bradford is the backup for now behind veteran A.J. Feeley. But Feeley was shaky, narrowly avoiding interceptions on two passes that could have been returned for touchdowns while going 3 of 6 for 19 yards.
Danny Amendola scored on a 93-yard punt return for the Rams, but fumbled away his next chance at the Rams 16 that led to Rosenfels' 2-yard touchdown pass to Logan Payne five plays later to tie it at 7. Garrett Mills whipped linebacker Chris Chamberlain on a 65-yarder the next series to put the Vikings ahead.
"Better now than in the regular season," Amendola said. "Try to get the kinks worked out."
Six Vikings offensive players did not play. Percy Harvin has missed all but two days of training camp due to migraine headaches and a funeral, and Sidney Rice has a hip injury.
Mills had four catches for 106 yards and a touchdown, Payne had seven catches for 52 yards and a touchdown and Mickey Shuler added a 2-yard grab from Joe Webb.

I'm told we might be signing Brian Westbrook soon FWIW. Of course, he might be hurt before Jackson is. As for WR, I'm going to hold out hope for Brandon Gibson and Donnie Avery. Are you familiar with Gibson? If so, what do you think of him? I saw him in his first game, and he played great. 7 catches for 93 yards against the Saints, and most of those came in critical moments that almost allowed us to pull off the upset. I haven't seen a whole lot else of him, though.
