I had one back when I lived in Norman for going four over in a 25 zone speed trap or something. An OUPD officer also gave me a warning once for what they allege was a rolling stop (it wasn't, they were obviously bored).

Kids, if you can afford to part with $120, feel free to speed. However, if you'd rather spend $120 on necessities or junk food, always know two facts:

1- What the speed limit is, and
2- How fast you're driving.

Not knowing those two things will cause a Norman police car to appear out of thin air. Every. Time.

OUPD is awful about this. I live on the NW corner of campus (near the stupid mansion with the stretch hummer parked outside) and I've been tempted to just to post up on a Thurs, Fri or Sat night to watch how many people they pull over. One night we counted 14 stops in a 30 minute span between 1:30am and 2:00am. That was just from the front porch.

I have heard about this, Norman police apparently are ruining the fun down there.

I however at 18 have been pulled over 3 times,


1) Going 60 in a 70
2) Going 63 in a 70
3) Going 57 in a 70 (but it said construction)

Never gotten a ticket of course
