The Republic of Kenya was not formed until Dec. 12, 1964. Whatever they were calling themselves, it wasn't that.

However, I'll admit I was focusing on the birth date, not the notarial certificate. Had the Republic of Kenya actually existed at the time this was supposedly executed, I'd withdraw that objection.

Also, even THAT one lists Honolulu, Hawaii, as he father's legal residence, so who cares? I have a cousin-in-law who was born in Togo while his parents (both doctors) were doing missionary work in Togo. He's definitely a US citizen, too.

Regardless, the "document" above is a photoshop. Look at the registrar's name and how some of the letters have different angles. Peep the poor work on the name "Dunham."

Wasn't Kenya an English colony? That'd explain why the forger didn't bother to write it in Swahili or something.

I dunno Froz. It looks pretty good to me. Manual typewriters, especially ones in the Third World, do a pretty crappy job compared to modern laser printers. You oughtta see my Oklahoma birth certificate from 1960. And this one looks to be a carbon copy of the original. Those documents typically were printed in sets that included three or four sheets with carbon paper in between. The original goes into a government file cabinet, and the parents get a carbon. That also explains the relatively light raised seal. That seal press had to punch through several sheets.

Frankly, that's also why those dox cooked up by CBS that purported to be W's TANG records were so easily debunked. They were too perfect.

Anyhoo, even if he is foreign born, it doesn't matter. He wouldn't be removed from office as a result. There's no Constitutional provision for doing so.

1963 would be after 1961. The "Protectorate of Kenya" was Zanzibari. At least that's how I read that.

I'm more concerned that he's a radical socialist. The good news is, in less than two years, his craptastic presidential performance has breathed new life and zeal into a GOP on the ropes in January 2009 while virtually assuring his opposition, whose battle cry is "NO!," will regain Congress; a thing it took W six years to accomplish.

And that means at least 2 years of legislative gridlock and no more uber-lib Justices. Which is a very good thing.
