This is pretty cool. A Russian artist took WWII photos of various locations that still exist and partially photoshopped them into modern pics of the same place. Pretty damned cool if you ask me.

That's awesome and spooky at the same time.

He must have gone all over the place to get those shots, but his photoshop skills are lacking at times. Still impressive.

I love it. I love the medium. I love the history and blending it in with modern life to make history come alive. Where else but Eastern Europe? Where could you do that in the US except maybe New York or Chicago?

Some of those are awesome. Some not so much. Either way, thats some of the most powerful photoshop art I've seen in a long time.

Someone should try something similar with Owen Field.

That really is a good idea. I would pay good money to hang that photochopped pic on my walls. Of course, it would have to be field level and look like the colored Sammy was handing off to the black and white Billy Sims. And, I'm getting goosebumps already.

I was thinking about a 50's era offense against Bosworth and Company.

That would be cool. Take a contemporary photo of Owen Field today and then photoshop all of the All-Time bests in one starting lineup. If I had any skills at all I'd do it.

If done well someone could make a mint.

Paying the royalties might get interesting.

More interesting history photos are on Google Earth, you can slide the historical photos of Berlin back to the World War II era and years after.
