NORMAN -- The 2010 Meet the Sooners Day is slated for Friday, Aug. 6, at the rugby practice fields west of the Lloyd Noble Center. Gates will open at approximately 10 a.m., for OG&E Sooner Kids Club members and at approximately 10:30 a.m., for the general public. The event will conclude at noon.
Admission is free.
Fans are permitted to bring one autograph item per person. Autograph items are not restricted as long as they can be transported by one person do not pose a safety hazard or impede the line. OU Athletics Department staff reserve the right to deny an item if it poses a problem. Players will be seated by position at clearly marked table.
The line for admittance will start at the John Crain Soccer Field. Those parked at the Lloyd Noble Center should walk west across the parking lot and cross the bridge toward the soccer complex.
Separate lines will be clearly marked for OG+E Sooner Kids Club members and the general public.
One parent per Kids Club member is allowed in the early line. The sign-up for Kids Club ended July 30. It will resume after Meet the Sooners Day and no sign-ups will be accepted on the day of the event.
Sooner Kids Club members will need to check in at the registration table and pick up their membership card and gift bag.
Fans are encouraged to park in the Lloyd Noble Center west parking lot. Concessions and merchandise stands will be set up throughout the area along with inflatable games and cool zones. Fans are encouraged to bring their own bottled water. Public restrooms will be available at the John Crain Soccer Field complex.
