Still not carrying anyone's pads yet:

ST. LOUIS -- The most prominent St. Louis Rams (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=stl) newcomer missed the first day of rookie workouts. Teammates expected to see quarterback Sam Bradford (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=13197) soon enough.
Veteran A.J. Feeley (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=2704), who'll be the starter until Bradford's ready, said Thursday that missing one day of practice is no big deal.

"It's not the end of the world," Feeley said. "You'd like to have him out here to work these guys, but he's been through the whole offseason program.
"Sam's a smart guy, he's bright. I don't see him lagging, I don't see him sitting at home on the couch not doing anything."

Because he is in Oklahoma. Saw him walking from the Everrett center to the Switzer center. Looked like he just finished working out.

Well this mildly shocks me. The talk is he would be at the Saturday practice at least. Of course I think it's a 3 pm practice.

by VanRam on Jul 30, 2010 12:33 PM CDT in St. Louis Rams training camp

St. Louis Rams general manager Billy Devaney will soon be watching his QB throwing passes at training camp.

According to a report from Brian Stull at ESPN 101, the St. Louis Rams have agreed to the "numbers and terms" of a contract with first overall pick QB Sam Bradford. Everything but the fine print...
Stull believes that Bradford will be with the Rams for a 6 p.m. team meeting.
If the report is accurate, then Bradford will be practicing with the full squad tomorrow, though it's safe to assume he'll still be with the second unit, at least for now.

In case you missed my report with Bryan Burwell and Bob Stelton earlier this morning, I fully expect Sam Bradford to be in attendance for the Rams team meeting at 6pm.

According to sources, negotiations between the two sides lasted until at least 3:30am this morning. It's believed that the numbers and terms have been agreed to, leaving the legalese and paperwork to be completed.

That process should go smoothly as the two sides negotiated and can use the contract of Jason Smith from last year as a template.

A normal NFL contract is a couple of pages long, but according to sources, Smith's deal was upwards of 50 pages.

Sam Bradford spent the night in St. Louis, so he will be available to arrive at Rams Park easily when it's time for his signatures.

Don't know who you saw walking around in Norman....

Stull's report has been discounted by Yahoo's twitter bug. Take it for what you will, I don't think Sam's gonna sign today.

Latest on Sam here. (http://www.stltoday.com/sports/football/professional/article_67f39438-9c19-11df-8a5a-0017a4a78c22.html)

According to one of the sources, the Rams have offered Bradford the richest rookie contract in NFL history. It's one that exceeds the six-year, $72 million deal signed by the 2009 No. 1 draft pick -- quarterback Matthew Stafford -- but falls short of the $80 million plateau.

NO deal in place yet.

Man, Dez left around 2-3 million at the table signing early so he could get to work and he hurts his ankle...the luck he has, he must have seriously pissed of karma.

Absolutely 100% positive it was Sam Bradford. I passed him on the sidewalk and gave him "hey, whats up Sam. Good to see you in town again." He said thanks and kept walking.

i guess good for sam...

but honestly, is anyone worth this kind of money? its all well and good that sam gets a great contract, and i wish him all the best in the pros, but contracts like that are the reason single game tickets cost 150 bucks, jerseys cost 300 and a damn paper cup full of beer is 10 bucks.

big money contracts only serve the egos of the agents and make the game experience largely inaccessible to the regular joe who just wants to take his kid to a game without having to save up for 3-4 months to do it.

just my couple pennies.

Nobody can blame Sam because you are stupid not to take advantage of the best opportunity for you. But the NFL only has one option. Do it the way the NBA does it. That would please veterans and fans who would pay lower prices. More stadiums would be filled and everyone...except for rookies (yet to prove themselves) would be happy. Again, I love that Sam, GK, Trent, and Gresham will all cash out, but somethings got to give Sooner than later.

I think they should move to a model similar to the NBA as well, but there is no way ticket prices will come down with a rookie cap in place. NFL owners don't work like that.

I spent $0.00 on the NFL last year so when I go to St. Louis after the OU / Cincinnati Game to see him play the Redskins....$500 to $1000 won't seem to bad to see the Best Damn QB we ever had play in an NFL Game. It's good I don't live in St. Louis though as I'd need to start hawking tickets and making bookie bets Keanu Reeves style in order to see him play from now on.

RIP G-Baby.

Now that will be a helluva a fun weekend.
I've been looking at Rams tickets on their website...they aren't too bad really. Really, they're cheaper than face value of OU tickets depending on what seats you want. I saw that they have some multi game packages as well. I'm going to try to go to a Rams game this fall probably

I'm gonna wing it as I usually do and buy my Rams ticket from Keanu. :D

If it gets pricey I can just go down to the Casino on the River and make up what I need for the ticket there. :D

Conor O'Neill (Keanu Reeves) is a gambler who has bet on his dead father's account and is now severely in debt.
