Good for Trent. I hope he's not taking plays off for that kind of jack.

Yep... opposing fans were sure right when they said all of our guys wouldn't gain anything by coming back, alright.

I remember the jokes about how much they were being paid to come back... well, there it is, folks. Three of the top four and the top TE taken as well. 36 mill guaranteed is a great reason to stay.

Hey haters... :P

Did you guys just hear that aweful noise? I think was colt mac's,boy just choking on a whopper and spit up on st. tebow while the two were at BK discussing what great deals they both (had) going!:D

Now if that prima-donna Sam Bradford would just sign.

lol - but teebz did get a good deal. it was like nearly 20 percent higher than last year's pick at the same spot (although that guy was a DB and not a QB, methinks).

I am not sure how good Trent's deal is compared to other O-linemen, but I heard them mentioning "blind side" on ESPN this morning. Anyone who saw Sandra Bullock's mommy role knowns that "blind side" is code for "second-highest paid player on the team behind the QB"

Way to go, Trent. Make Sooner Nation proud!

I don't think it is Sam, I think the Rams had to ask China for a loan for the (5 yr. $75,000,000.00 / $58,000,000.00 guaranteed)

Isn't that backwards? I thought usually pick #1 was the last one to sign because the agent holds out to make sure he gets more money than anyone else.

No...Most of the time, the 2-5 picks will wait to see the increase the #1 gets over last year's number 1(which is typically 8-9 %) and then work out their contract

Way to go Trent! That's a good number for the guys taken ahead of him too.

Can't wait to see the ridiculous $$ that Sam will get.

And yeah, to all the people that said these guys made a mistake staying in college, they were just a little wrong.

I really expect Sammie's deal in soon.

speaking of first round quarterbacks, looks whose converted form is already reverting back to crappy:

It's a third-string quarterback's form... nobody should be surprised :D

I thought I read somewhere that Tebow's NFL jersey is the top in sales at the moment. That has to count for something. I would be surprised if the Broncos organization doesn't try to put him in, at least in a few gimmicky plays, to keep the cash register still going cha-chink. If he models underwear as per his new endorsement deal for Jockey, his throwing motion mechanics wouldn't really be the point.

3rd string or not, I think Tebow will get alot more PT than people expect. He'll be used in the Wildcat and things that. He's definitely not gonna ride the bench all year long... I still hate the guy though. :D

They had a wildcat package designed for him before they picked him...mostly because they knew nobody else would take him that early

I think jersey sales have a lot to do with the fact that he has the same number and it's the same colors as Florida.

If Sam went to the 'Skins and had a crimson jersey with the #14, we'd all already own it. :)

The guaranteed portion is $22 million more than the total contract of reigning LT All-Pro Ryan Clady.

Obscene.
