Working in the Mid/Del area, I've seen a white 707 variant running circuits. It's gut a hump on the top of the fuselage. What the hell is this thing? TIA.

Stealth microwave and Michelle Obama's personal jet.

Book it. I was raised in Midwest City so I'm an authority.

That's a Navy E-6B Mercury...it's an airborne comm platform mostly used for sub communications. They've got a detachment here with us at Tinker...most afternoons, it's two of them and two of us burning up the pattern around the airfield.
They have newer engines too...and were the last 707's off the production line in the late 80's.

Thanks for that but did you flush the crapper? ;)

I can count on one hand how many times I've even USED the crapper on that jet in the 2+ years I've been flying on it.

Did you sit on the seat or stand on the seat and squat?

I bet you used that hand for something else in the capper on that jet.

It's our old *** engines...they're Pratt & Whitney JT3's (of course, we have to rename them cause we're the military...they're called TF33's in our T.O's)...they're effing LOUD!

And Turd...you're beginning to scare me. Do I need to get a restraining order?

The TF-33s are loud, but not as bad as the 101s on the B1. That thing sets off car alarms every time one takes off. :D
