gov bill richardson is going to pardon billy the kid, postumously since he was allegedly killed by pat garret before then gov. lew wallace could do it...

so i watched young guns and young guns 2 last night (both by the way are far better movies than tombstone) and decided to do a bit of research on brushy bill roberts.

http://www.angelfire.com/mi2/billythekid/brushy.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ollie_P._Roberts
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/22595/the_real_billy_the_kid_was_it_brushy.html

so, given the facts and opinions of those sources, do you think billy the kid lived to the ripe old age of 91 or was he, in fact, killed by pat garrett?

Kilt by Pat Garrett

...and Tombstone is much better than either of the Young Guns, though it does p*ss me off that Tombstone is so historically inaccurate.

freakin' sociopath who needed killin' or tea party poster-boy using force of arms to fight against the corruption of local politicians and merchants and the murder of his friend and employer?

hmmm just did some reading on dave rudabaugh (played by christian slater in young guns 2) and apparently, after he parted ways with billy the kid, he joined up with the clantons and some say was the guy that shot morgan earp. also supposedly taught doc holiday how to shoot in exchange for poker lessons.

interesting guy... wonder why nobody ever wrote his story down.
