The only way Gundy gets booted... hmmm...

1- An embarrassing thing like A&M's Franchione e-mails. However, Gundy's tirade did nothing but good things for him, so embarrassments might be a positive.

2- NCAA rules violations. Should not be a problem, unless athletes continue to lie to the NCAA ;)

3- A losing season. This is the most likely of the three to get Gundy ousted. A return to Mikey's first season as head coach is absolutely unacceptable. They have an easy non-conference schedule, they have good players and a new offensive coordinator.

It has been brought up before, so I'll just throw it out there that if Mike Leach wants to coach Poke State, Poke State should decline. It was revealed through all of Adam James crap that Mike was trying to get out of Lubbock for awhile, and I can't see Mike Leach wanting to stay in Stilly forever. So long as Mike Gundy has them in bowls or at least bowl eligibility, Gundy should keep his job. Leach is a coach that can beat Texas and OU, yes, but so is Gundy. He just hasn't done it yet.

Capability to beat Texas and OU doesn't mean that he will ever do it, though. I mean, I can jump off a cliff, but I won't do it :D

As for the rest, there is so much ??? in the Big 12 this year, regardless of who's leaving and who isn't.

I think they can get to eight with the swing games being KSU and Tech. KSU has Thomas, and that is it. I'm not sold one iota on Tech. They aren't going to come within a country mile of A&M, NU, us, or *, though.
