at least last year, there was Moon, Anvil, Inglorious Bastards (mediocre), District 9, Star Trek, Hurt Locker, whatever.

****ing lame bull**** this summer. Inception sucked out loud.

District 9 and Hurt Locker were seriously overrated.

District 9 was actually pretty terrible.

There is always the Expendables, I guess.

I liked Inception. I also saw Predators not too long ago and enjoyed it. It was pretty much what I wanted from a summer movie. I also liked Toy Story 3, thought it was a fitting end to the series.

I haven't seen Inception yet. I sort of want to see it, but aside from that there isn't a damned movie out there that has any appeal to me.

I thought District 9 was mediocre. I really enjoyed Inglorious Basterds.

Moon was great last year, I didn't like District 9 all that much though. I recently saw a couple good ones from last year also. Saint John of Las Vegas & I Love You Phillip Morris.

I love you Phillip Morris isn't technically released yet. But then again, neither is LEaves of Grass. Piracy is cool.

District Nine has actually grown on me. I thought it was pretty good, when I first saw it, now I think it's good. About an 8.

even obvious to a point, with South Africa, district 9 was better as satire before it turned into a conventional action flick.

Re District 9: Oh, the aliens are supposed to be black people. How clever. Could they have used a more heavy-handed allegory?

NP and I have seen Date Night, The Karate Kid, The Prince of Persia, and How to Train your Dragon.

Wasn't upset with any of them. It's probably the ones we've missed that we would have felt ripped off with.

District 9 and Hurt Locker were seriously overrated.

If you want to see a cool movie set in South Africa, rent Stander.

Even though pointing out lesser known movies people might like but possibly haven't heard of apparently qualifies one as a snob, I wanted to mention that.

I thought this summer was acceptable if only because it contains The Losers, The A-Team, and The Expendables!

I thought District 9 was horrible!

Oh and I Love You Philip Morris was pretty good. I didn't realize that it hadn't been released yet. :O

I enjoyed the hell out of District 9, though I do feel it was WAY overrated.

It wasn't that. It was that we were talking about Inception in that thread and you tried to poop on it.

I thought District 9 was freaking awesome. I also thought Inglourious Basterds was really good.

Moon was annoying.

Inglorious Basterds was awesome.

District 9 was too weird to really form an opinion.
