The new "wonder bracelet" that is supposed to give you more balance and strength is starting to get a lot of publicity and many sports players (http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2010/02/power-balance-hits-the-nba/) are wearing them. A lot of people doubt the bracelet but others say it works wonders. I just had a friend buy one and his whole family tested it out and were amazed by the results. More balance, strength, endurance, and he sleeps better. It might just be a mind thing but who knows. They run $30 so I figured I would give it a shot. Anyone else have any experience with them?

I really hope this isn't some attempt to try to sell these things to people on this site. It's hokum of the oldest variety. These are kinesiology effects that work with any item. There is no way that a "hologram energy bracelet" does ANYTHING, except remove cash from a wallet.

Really, I think athletes are extremely superstitious and if they wore it just because someone sent one to them to try and they had a crazy good game, suddenly, they're wearing it every day just out of superstition. It's no different than the little pink bracelet the Make-a-Wish girl gave them when they visited the lockerroom, really. I do have to say this about the Power Balance bracelets. They do serve a purpose. It's nice to have certain wearable items that readily identify the wearer as a gullible person.

Now, if only we could find a way to have wearable items that would identify the wearer as mentally unstable, we would have an easy fix for Homey's proposed question of a crazy filter between guns and crazy people.
