they have the line screwed up.

It is suppose to be Terrelle Pryor +450 , not 45/1

same for Ingram. Its like 35/1 odds, should be +350

i'm gonna throw in some on him too.

I don't think Heisman voters want another two-time winner. If they wouldn't do it for Teebz, they won't do it for Ingram.

As for another Ohio State Heisman winner, I don't see it happening, much like it will take a really strong candidate for USC to win another. They just have too many recipients.

But yeah... more power to you for making a little bet.

yermom
7/17/2010, 05:47 PM
just in case you guys aren't picking up what he is putting down, +450 is $450 on a $100 bet, or 4.5:1, not 45:1

JLEW1818
7/17/2010, 06:11 PM
exactly they messed the line up.

it should be just +450 , lol

but it was at 45:1 ... lol

they will fix it before too long

I'm just not sold, yet, on Pryor. Heck, most tOSU that I know aren't sold on him, yet. They think he should just be a RB. I also don't think that Ingram wins again. There are too many other good candidates out there. If the kid from BSU has a good year, and let's say they don't get to the MNC and are still undefeated, give it to him.

JLEW1818
7/18/2010, 10:11 AM
i don't know if he wins. I'm just saying that is too good to pass on. I've never seen a sports betting place mess up so bad.

Pryor should be at like 6:1 odds, not 45:1

lol

oudavid1
7/18/2010, 12:08 PM
Colt McCoy had better stats than Pryor and he didnt win it, and since he will be going up against Ingram again, not to mention the get from the school with blue turf.....it aint happening. And they are not playing any ranked teams this year anyway.

yermom
7/18/2010, 12:12 PM
no ranked teams makes it easier...

it's not so much that he's a favorite, it's that the money is wrong. it's like getting 10:1 on tails

JLEW1818
7/18/2010, 04:58 PM

Looking at the player list Id say the odds are correct

Pryor likely isnt going to put up huge stats, Ingram is sharing the backfield and there has never been a repeat winner

JLEW1818
7/18/2010, 07:29 PM
lol dude the lines are messed up. you can compare them to other places too. bodog or w/e.

TP and Ingram are top 2 Heisman favorites on literally ever casino site.

for example

http://www.betus.com/sportsbook/ncaa-football_futures-heisman_trophy_2010.aspx

+350 aka 3.5:1 odds

+450 aka 4.5:1 odds

not 35:1
or 45:1

TP will definitely have the entire NY sports media/ESPN cheerleading for him to win it. Add to that a very manageable schedule with only Miami and Wisconsin as potential losses and I would have to agree that he will probably be the odds on favorite. All that being said, I've never been sold on Pryor as even the best qb in the country much less the best player either and in fact I think Ryan Mallet of Ark is a much better qb.

One of the nice things about living here in Podunk, MS is that there are several bookie bars, including two in downtown Meridian, that operate openly. Hell, one of those in Meridian is only a couple of blocks from the central police station.

There's one in one of the nearby small towns that I go to. They give current Vegas odds, and I've never had a problem getting a dime from them. Of course, I've also given them several dimes in return.

That site has OU, Texas and Nebraska all with about the same odds of making it to the BCS title game, but Boise is at 10/1? Are that many people really betting on Boise?

OK, if they come out and wax VaTech, which isn't going to happen, and then storm through the rest of the schedule, they might get a mention. But even then, I find it hard to believe. They aren't in the Mountain West just yet. They still have the likes of Idaho and LaTech as conference foes.

And one more tiny rant here. How did Louisiana Tech ever wind up in the WAC, anyway?

Boise will be a top 5 preseason pick, return a ton of talent, and play VT in game one.

Smacks of Vince Young talk... he's a hell of a lot like VY and has a great shot at running the table this year.

Star QB on an undefeated team? Smells like a good case for the Heisman to me. VY would have won it if the outcome of the BCS came in to play. I hate to say it, but he was spectacular.

I was in vegas last of June and got a C note on the Sooners at 15-1 at Harrahs. The line actually had Nebraska at 9-1 if i remember right. Florida was 10-1.

Pryor shouldn't have gone to Ohio State. He would have been a much better fit at Michigan or Oregon. The Buckeyes' offensive philosophy is "kick the damn field goal or at least pin them back with a nice punt."
