Sounds like all the arguments used by my detractors (defined as the membership of SoonerFans.com)

The technique I just used is called "heading them off at the pass." Get the crack in first, weakening the effect of those who had the same idea but couldn't hit the Submit button fast enough.

He missed a bunch.

A good one is the "omitted smiley."

"Do I have to put a smiley after my statements? (Translation: "I want to retract my insult because it turns out that I was wrong, but I don't want to admit I was wrong. So I'll just claim you can't recognize sarcasm.")

The only problem I have with the backtrack is people really don't read entire posts. They skim through and find a little nugget they can go bananas over, ignoring the context. Thus...READ MY POST!
