ISU may not be the most competitive school around, but they sure can run some smack! they did a pretty good nebraska preview that anyone who knows how big of tools most huskers are would surely appreciate!

That's not all - they are convinced that the world is on their side in their act of defiance on Texas.

I mean, we hate Texas too, but they're not the only ones you leave and give the finger to when you go to the Big Ten.

So, in dishonor of this defection, ladies and gentlemen, once again, former Nebraska athletic director Steve Pederson!

"I refuse to let the program gravitate into mediocrity! We won't surrender the Big 12 to Oklahoma and Texas."

Annnnnd... you have gravitated into mediocrity under Callahan and surrendered the Big 12 to Oklahoma and Texas under Pelini.

Really... we hate Texas, but seriously, how can we support you when you won't support our conference?

Most of ISU's football existence actually involves ****ting their pants and eating paste, so I'm not sure what the complaint is. It would be funny as hell to send NU and CU off to their new conferences with Iowa State as the reigning North champ, though.

but then we wouldn't get to beat them in a CCG. and THAT would be very satisfying, indeed.

I'm thinking a tight game into the third quarter where DeMarco finally wears them down and explodes for three TDs in a five minute stretch. OU's final score comes with the game safe at 34-9 on a two point conversion with seconds on the clock when Stoops runs the wishbone (just for old time's sake) and Jermie Calhoun dehats an NU linebacker at the goalline for the score.

It's summer. I have to make these things up to entertain myself.

ZZZZZZZZZZZ

Is the announcer talking on a cell phone in a bathroom stall? If they play that at their stadium, nobody's going to hear it over even ambient stadium buzz.

The music has no buildup...it is more like the music that plays connecting scenes in a movie when the cowboys are riding their horses, on their way to the OK Corral.

this isn't out of the question either. ISU should have a pretty potent offense, it's the defense that is a huge ?

I think with Suh gone, the N defense becomes significantly less formidable, and they will soon be trading the Texas bullying for tOSU and Meatchicken bullying.

Heh. I scrolled back to find their preview of us. Pretty funny actually. Especially when they put a picture of KU's stadium up there with the caption "Wait, is that the wrong Memorial Stadium? F***in' IT guys...."

Yeah, someone linked it earlier. Here's a link to Texas' preview

I mean, we'd retort, but isn't it kind of cool that someone from a program like Iowa State is willing and able to attempt to trash talk far superior schools?

:P I'd like to think they'd say the same thing about a certain poll we ran on the basketball board during the last month

EDIT: Speaking of Iowa State and Nebraska, check this out. (http://www.iamthe12thman.com/2010/7/18/1575661/texas-tech-marketing-stealing)

Hell, I don't care for this conference. I'm very disappointed that they left but I'd still take their football program in heartbeat over the likes of MU, ISU, BU and KU. Over the long term these teams bring very little to the table.
