I'm excited to see what this kid can do. He seems to be more of a ball handling type than Brody and Clapp to me. I don't think he was recruited to be a blocker. I'm also pumped to see Haywood. I think one of them will be the Gresh type TE. They both have good size coming in as freshmen... Millard 6'2 246 and Haywood 6'3 237. They both have frames to add size. But again, I don't see them being the featured blocking TE's.

Haywood is going to be the offensive beast, and Millard will be the glue type player. I'm excited about both... I think Millard is supposed to be really athletic. Didn't he run a 4.5?

In high school? So he really runs about a 4.7? ;)

That's 4.4 in BIG TEN and "Molasses" in SEC speak.

Only because he is not IN the SEC. If he were there, he would run a 3.9:eek:

We need better athleticism at TE. Hanna has not lived up even close to his hype ("a poor man's JG"), and the other guys, bless them... are walkons and it shows. JG's production is hard to accomplish, but at least having a guy the QB trusts to throw to is better than nothing.

I think finding someone who can be a receiving threat at TE is one of the keys to the season.

Might have to be a fresh if Rat doesn't produce.

What was the name of our walkon TE in like the early 2000s that looked like an angry Viking? Chris??? I drew a blank.

I like that Stanford was looking at him too. The Trees don't look at academic dummies; shows he has brains to go with the athleticism. Dangerous combination. I like his attitude, too. That attitude means he's going to be outstanding both on and off the field.
