I'm not, obviously.

As I glance down at my Mr. Potato Head with a Red Sox jersey and hat.

But RIP George. I know I'm supposed to hate you for driving the payscale in baseball towards infinity. But I don't.

I hate the other owners and MLBPA for that.

You simply did what any owner with a drive to win and with the kind of resources you had would have done.

Can't hate you for that.

And as Michael Ian Black just tweeted...

Somewhere in heaven, Billy Martin just got fired.

RIP George, one of the only owners in sports that truly wanted to win and would do whatever it takes to win; people forget what a piece of **** the Yankees were when he took them over; you can throw bricks at him all you want but the man is the gold standard for what an owner with ambition and drive can do with a sports team

Rough week to be a Yankee fan. First, Mr. Sheppard, now this. Somebody re-assure me that these things don't always happen in threes...:(

I hate the Yankees, but Steinbrenner was one of those iconic figures in sports. RIP George.

Tough week for Yankees fans with Sheppard and now this, the thing that many dont realize is that Steinbrenner was known as a very kind and compassionate man outside of baseball.

As a Cards fan this reminds me alot of the week that Daryl Kile and Jack Buck both passed, RIP

his big 10 coaching gig definitely influenced him in how he handled his baseball team

If I'm Don Mattingly, I'm scared right now...

on a sarcastic note, if there has to be a 3rd, can it please please God be Michael Kay?

that's hilarious.

RIP to George and Bob. to me, as a younger Yanks fan who wasn't around during the Boss's heyday i kind of just viewed him as that crazy uncle everyone has. i'll never forget going to a Yankees game in old Yankee stadium several years ago and hearing the "voice of God". :)

Thanks, Bill.

If you like it so much, can't you at least send me some green? You totally owe me.
