My wife ask me if I would go to a fairly gay concert and I agreed. The tix got here today and the date of the concert is September 4th. GEEZ! I'm sure it will be a 6:30 kickoff. I don't remember the last OU game I missed.

If he doesn't tell us which concert, we get to make up our own. I'm voting on Jonas Brothers.

TXBoomer is going to see Jonas Brothers!!!!!

BTW, it's a good idea to take control of things. Having the wife tell you which concert to attend?

yermom

if he's in Austin, and if he's actually seeing Jersey Boys, it looks like there is a noon show :D

Even my non-football watching, Upstate New York wife knows not to schedule things on Saturdays during football season. We generally schedule things, such as a movie night, a concert, or going to dinner on Friday nights.

Mine usually does too. We have been to Disney World three times and scheduled it during the open week each time. This is her first strike...Two strikes and she is out.:texan:

John Mayer

Here, ill help you out.

The night before, Mayer plays in Tulsa. The night after he plays at the Woodlands. Sell the tix she already has, buy tix for one of the other shows, that way you get to do both, keep your manhood intact, and your wifey happy

It would not be a bad game to miss. The next two weeks are much better. Of course, it is opening game so if you come up Friday might you can see Chris Isaak at the Riverwind Casino. He and his band are lots of fun. Mayer is a bit of a head case, but I am sure you and your wife will be safe as long as you keep your hands away from his cage. Ozzy bit the heads off of bats, but John Mayer is bats.

I had a friend buy me Kings of Leon last season as a gift.... it fell on the Miami game. The time of the game wasn't released until the week of. I thought it might fall as the early game.... but didn't. I felt like an arse saying "what a great gesture, but I'm sorry, I can't accept this gift" and gave them back. He was mad.

I made my SISTER move her wedding date to a Sunday.... We were playing KU '09. I even skipped her rehearsal to attend the game. I told her I would absolutely not attend her wedding if she didn't move it. Lame? Maybe.... even if it was just KU, it was still an OU game.

If you miss OU/OSU for that croony white kid that gets his hands on more white chicks than sororities, you're going to have to cough up your Sooner Card for a while. I'm not fit to determine the punishment though, so I'll let someone more creative than I am do that for you. Good luck!

Few concerts would even be worth considering to miss an OU game. Even Tater State. John Mayer ain't one of them.

However, that being said, don't let the girlies' infatuation with him mislead. The dude can play and songwrite. Solid tunes once you get past that Body is a Wonderland BS.

I had one of those crazy bitches last year who made a ****ing game of trying to make me miss out on my CFB season. She assumed all I wanted to see was like 15:00 of an OU game every Saturday it seemed. Even then, her and her friends would talk too damn much.

Yep... after halftime against BYU I was done with her. :D If she'd have STFU, Sam woulda never been hurt, Gresham woulda been back for Idaho State and all would have eventually worked out. But NOOOOOO... she had to go and throw us into a slump. A curse, that beyonce was... a curse.

That's not official. But my money's on 6; it's not going to be televised on free TV, so they'll probably make it an evening game & have PPV.

I'm a chick and I'd rather watch OU play the East Tennessee School for the Blind than sit thru a John Mayer concert. Just my .O2, then again, I'm redneck hillbilly with a Jamey Johnson/Eric Church groove going at the moment. But still, dude...
