I know it looks like he put on about 10 pounds after hitting the weight room since getting here. I can see he and Metoyer just abusing DBs for years to come.

He was one of out top recruits, he seems really really athletic, hopefully he either works into the lineup this year or red shirts

I posted back around basketball season that he was going to be a special player for us. I watched him play football and watch him in the state basketball tournament. I was really impressed with his athletic ability on the basketball court. He was out-jumping players with 3" to 5" on him for rebounds. Tall, fast, high vertical and very athletic.....potent combination for mismatches...

Not to jinx Mr McCay, but you just described Adron Tennell to a T. :D

This is from Kirk Bohls of the Austin Statesmen....

Keep an eye out for Oklahoma's 6-3, 200-pound freshman receiver Justin McCay out of Shawnee, Kan. He's really put a charge into the Sooners coaching staff, who think he's in the same mold as Malcolm Kelly.

Then a article from the Oklahoman....

Cool, I love this type of stuff. It can be hype that is never lived up to but I like to focus in on a few new guys, same in basketball.

I have heard that his personality is so magnetic, he is unable to carry credit cards.

I hear he could catch any pigskin Landry threw a quarter-mile...

He and Stills are both supposed to be great. Stills is more polished now, but McCay supposedly has more upside.

Well, I look at it this way.... If he is good enough we will see him this year. If not, we can look forward to him next year. I know, after reading that I realized how lame that sounded :(

The only drawback to CFB versus teh eneffelle. You get a bunch of good players and you're all essited and you're like "AWWW..." when you figure out it'll be awhile before they even reach special teams status.

MK was a primadonna, but go back and watch some of his highlight vids on youtube, he caught everything that came his way and was more productive than any receiver we've had since he left, notwithstanding Broyles.

MK's main negative point was (is) that he could have been so much better with a better attitude/work ethic. The guy had (has) talent that is at the 'freak of nature' level.
If this kid is even in the same time zone, we'll be very pleased with him.

I think I provided more than enough pics on the basketball forum for you to create your own, Mr. Higgins.

I was trying to be funny, see, because whenever I created an avatar for my favorite wide receiver, they suddenly sucked. It hit everyone from Kenney to ADron Tennell. A lot of you guys gave me a lot of crap for that... <sigh> offseason looms.

No McCay avvie. You killed all our players last year.
