For the love of all things holy...PLEASE STOP with the remakes of classic songs in your commercials! You are absolutely KILLING these songs for me.

Spend that money instead on digging yourselves out of bankruptcy!

I liked the Lincoln remake of Major Tom.

But you're right. Most are pretty dreadful.

I keep waiting for Toyota to make a commercial with Dave Matthews' 'Crash'.

Pretty sure bands remake songs, not car companies. Car companies just pay for the rights to play said remade songs in their commercials.

And Shiny Toy Guns' remake of Major Tom is pure awesome.

The Audi "Green Police" one is kind of humorous. Rick Neilsen talked about re-recording the song for the commercial on the Eddie Trunk Show on SiriusXM.

How about a little "Always Crashing in the Same Car"?

Car commercials from companies that are bankrupt or being bailed out by the tax payers should be banned entirely

No, we should treat them like alcoholic beverages. "Warning: The rock and roll attitude in this advertisement may not be real."
