How I had never seen one of my all-time fav bands live is beyond me.

Last night in KCMO was a tremendous evening, outdoors at the Starlight.

Their tour is Time Machine and it was. They played almost all their classics and many new ones.

Almost three hours, their humor was mixed throughout with the set and some funny video vignettes.

All in all, a very special Canada Day 2010.

good to see all those bands you thought you'd missed, huh? Think I'm going to see Frampton on Tuesday.

You have entered the Twilight Zone
Beyond this world strange things are known
Use the key, unlock the door
See what your fate might have in store...
Come explore your dreams' creation
Enter this world of imagination...

I went to the 2112 concert at the Pavilion in Tulsa back in HS. Ted Nugent was the headliner and Rush was the opening band.

Good times.

Saw em at the MGM Grand on their R30 tour in 04...saw them in San Antonio on the Snakes & Arrows tour in 07...saw them in OKC in 08 (and I'm still thanking LAS for the hookup on meeting Geddy and Alex).

I'd say you owe him BIG TIME for that. I met Ted that night I saw them. He was definitely not drinking or smoking then and that was like 1976 or 7 when I saw them both. My buddy and I worked our way into the Limo and got to meet Ted that night...his Family owned a Steak House here and we almost had him ready to run the Band and crew over for an after Concert Meal. I think if Johnny had planned it in advance, we would have had a memory that would have changed our lives that night. As it was...Ted thanked us for the offer and took off in the limo for Dallas.

I knew Ted was awesome and that Rush was really good....who knew they'd both still be able to kick *** like they do so many years later.
