I was sitting around and it popped into my head that alot of the historic world cup teams personalities follow the most tradition rich college football teams. Especially if you look at the last decade.

Germany / Bama - Very Tradition rich and respected around the world/US.
Always a threat to win it all.

Brazil / Florida - Always loaded with talent and should dominate but don't
always.

Italy / USC - Some whiney bitches that nobody likes except their own.
Pretty talented and known for good defense.

Argentina / Texas - Always considered one of the most talented teams
around. With stars from everywhere. Yet always
seem to fall on their face. Yet still very storied
programs.

England / Ohio St. - Probably gets more credit than it deserves due to
the league it plays in and due to past glory.

France / Miami - Sure they came along at one time and tore it up, but
their long long ago past is crap, and their new history
is much of the same.

Now to us....................

Spain / OU - Always comes in ranked as one of the top teams, and
favored to win it all. But for some reason when the time
comes we take a big crap in our pants and shoot ourselves
in the foot. Never the less, with floundering reputation
people have no problem expecting us to win it all. As we
should. And we're just biding our time, as we're always
RIGHT THERE!!!!!

Boomer Sooner / Viva Espana!

What can I say..... it's the off season :D :pop:

I think they're in a quarterfinal match.

I predict Argentina vs. Brazil in the final.

The USA is kinda like Boise State. Facilities wise, we're way behind the major powers, but we have scrappers who can beat those other teams on occasion. We're not quite ready for prime time, though.

South Africa/Poke State: Loud, obnoxious fans that do not fill their own home stadium. have weird traditions that impair the senses, annoying the rest of the the futbol world. Because their own team sucks so much at futbol, lives vicariously through other teams.

I'd compare us more to Argentina or Germany than Spain. We've won NCs while Spain has never won a World Cup. In fact, I think this is Spain's best team they've ever taken to one.
