Can I take this opportunity to say that OU's Chant kind of sucks?

I mean, I'm all about school pride and stuff, but that song is unmercifully-bad. Even the students, who seem somehow required to participate, approach any singing of OU's Chant as a considerable chore. It's no fun at all.

With that said, I always get chills when the Pride plays Boomer Sooner and You're a Grand Old Flag before each home game--especially the first one of the season. It's awesome.

The Commodores, The Spinners, Earth, Wind and Fire, etc. Those were my favorite bands when I was a kid and OU football was my favorite pastime, so I have fond OU memories when I hear those songs . . .
