I wish they still had loser brackets. If they did we would have the good ol' double elimination tournament where a team would have to be beat twice before they had to go home without a championship.

Everyone is guaranteed to play three games. Many of those games therefore become meaningless. It's all about getting three games in for everyone which is pointless and non revenue producing in the effort.
