I'd have to agree. Unless Pryor's Rose Bowl was a fluke, hard to pick against the Buckeyes.

As far as who I DON'T want to see, Boise State. If they figure out someway to beat Va Tech in DC, god help college football.

I think TCU will run their slate. Whether or not enough teams in front of them (read specifically Boise since they're both from non AQ leagues) will lose remains to be seen.

We should run a poll on the number of trick play Boise St runs against V Tech.

I think 6 - 8 plays would not be suprising.

USC is the only team in the Pac-10 that is ever great, and they can't go. Big-10 almost never produces great teams, but Ohio State does alright from time to time. OU and Texas don't look to be title contenders, but it's possible. I hate to do it, but I have to go with whoever wins the SEC, and I'd guess that would be either Alabama or Florida. Ohio State will probably be the losing team.

I've never understood the recent hatred for trick plays on this board. Do you make these remarks about the fake punt we ran against Bama a few years back or the little shuffle passes that we lived of of with Q?

No, but we did take issue with the sub-par 4th-down conversion percentage last year, the failed onside kicks and fake punts we've run in recent years.

And shovel-passes are not "trick" plays. Neither are screens, end-arounds or direct snaps. It's about as common as an option.

TCU and Boise state getting stuck together in another BCS bowl wouldn't surprise me at all. They are going to have a nasty rivalry once Boise joins the MWC...that is, unless other conferences grab them before then.
