Trent is better than anything the Redskins previously had at that position.

:confused: , So, why would the Saints be getting rid of him? I'm not that much of an NFL guy, but doesn't a team keep their good players? I know he was out last year with injury but this kinda confuses me.

I'm assuming they had concern about the type of injury that it was and whether he was recovering the way they thought he did. It also might have something to do with the guy they replaced him with. I think he is younger, and cheaper, and if they think the other guy is the better option, Maybe they though trading him was the cheaper option then paying him to ride the bench. Pure speculation on my part though.

Brown, who missed the entire 2009 season with hip and sports hernia injuries, signed his $3.62 million tender offer before the trade. He skipped the Saints' voluntary workouts this offseason because he was unhappy with the tender, along with the fact that he might have to compete with Jermon Bushrod to regain his starting job.
