After reading the Chip Brown article they linked (http://texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1094753), it looks like Beebe's numbers are for real. ESPN didn't want to lose OU &TX to Fox, so they agreed to uphold the current B12 TV contract that runs thru 2016- even without Nebbish or a CCG. The 10 remaining teams split CU & NU's shares of the TV deal, and The Big 3 split their buyouts to leave. Thus OU is guaranteed $20Mil thru 2016.

As much as I preferred going to the Pac16 (with KU instead of TxAM), I LOVE it when Joe Schad has to eat his words. If ever there was a "reporter" that lived entirely off his dad's reputation, Joe is it.
