That just came in email! PAC 10 wasted no time inviting Utah.

They needed another team if their plan was to have divisions and a CCG. Once the picked up CU, they were kind of committed to get another unless they wanted to play round-robin like the big10/11 where certain teams didn't play each other.

Look for the MWC to add Fresno to take Utah's spot. They'll still be a fairly strong conference.

they're a good football school - upset Wisconsin a few years ago and even had the balls to travel to Norman this past decade.

But wow... Fresno. MWC heading into another new state with this expansion?

Huge move by the Pac-10.


It eliminates at least one of the Big XII schools from getting a seat on the bus when the next wave of expansion hits -- out least out West.

By that time they will be probably talking about 24-team super conferences anyway.

Now I know it won't take longer titles and it shortens them. I am used to getting notified it won't take long titles on two blogs I run.

Exactly what I first thought of when I heard this. Not gonna lie, it made me smile. How funny would it be if we picked up BYU and/or TCU someday? Don't see that in the cards anytime in the near future, but it would be funny.
